Rules Emphasis
Hello Moderators, I have 4 questions to ask.
The rule says
1.) "Start your project from scratch at the first day of the event."
Does this mean that the coding of the app will take place in Germany or that we code it here(in our place) and then present it to App Organizers in Germany on the aforementioned date.
2.) the rule says "just walk us through the code."
what does that mean.
3.) The event takes place in German. Does this mean that only German are allowed in the contest. If People from other countries are allowed what about traveling reimbursement fee provision.
4.) Is the submission going to be online
5.) What platform is required eg Website, Android, Ios etc
Thanks

Hi Fredrick!
Here you go:
1.) It means all the coding will happen all together in the venue during the weekend (betahaus Berlin) - no coding before, and also no online participation. Of course you're free to prep yourself by having a look at the APIs before, and also by thinking about your idea concept before.
2.) If it doesn't work, you can show us your code and describe what exactly it does (resp. should be doing;), so you don't have to worry all your work was for nothing if you have a bug that kills the demo.
3.) The event takes place in Berlin, but we are more than happy to welcome international participants, also the event's language is English. (Actually, our own dev team in the middle of Berlin also only talks in English). I'm sorry we're not able to offer you any reimbursement, but feel free to email us at hi@ecomhack.io for a personal 100% discount code for the tickets. And of course you get free food & drinks during the whole weekend, that's already covered in the ticket.
4.) Yes, through ChallengePost.
5.) Anything. The participating technology partners are all offering APIs with free language/framework choice, and also regarding your result you're free to choose. It could be a website, an app, Android or iOS, a Google Glass application - literally anything you can think of.
I hope my answers were helpful, would be cool to see you there!
Cheers,
Lucia
